The business of S2S Post, the Shoreditch-based post-production company focused on the independent British film sector, has been acquired by Met Film Post. The founder of S2S Post, Chris Atkins, decided to step down from running the company to work S2S's feature film production arm full time. Atkins' latest feature film, TAKING LIBERTIES, has received critical acclaim following its cinema release in June, with More4 buying the television rights to the film. Atkins comments "I've been building S2S Post for six years and we've worked on over 30 features in that time. However it's not possible to run a post house and direct a film - without giving myself a heart attack! I'm thrilled that Met Film Post has stepped in to keep the business alive, as well as service existing contracts. They are completely in tune with our ethos of getting superb results at a low cost." Met Film Post is part of the Arts Alliance Media group and is based in Clapham and Ealing Studios. Met Film Post is currently working on various UK features including There For Me starring Paul Bettany and French Film starring Hugh Bonneville. Met Film Post's CEO Luke Montagu comments "We were impressed with the work that S2S has done over the last six years and look forward to working with Chris on future projects. At Met Film Post we have recently upgraded our facilities to include a full 2K DI grading suite, and we look forward to integrating S2S' sound capabilities so that we can deliver affordable end-to-end feature and TV post services in-house." Chris Atkins will continue to work with Met Film Post as a consultant and will use the facilities for his own projects.
